When I was younger, my father was in great health. He worked at a general labor job and lifted boxes all day. He never complained about this and was actually happy to have a job that required him to move around. He said that it helped keep him in shape, so he did not have to work out after work like all of his friends who had office jobs. When I was eighteen, I moved out and went away to college and did not see my dad as much. I moved back home last month and I am shocked at how much his health has gone downhill. He has had a lot of back trouble, which is related to his job. He is looking for the best spine surgeons becaue his doctor says he may have to have surgery to fix a pinched nerve that is causing him pain each day.
There are many preconceived notions about speed training programs. For example many athletes I have spoken to, especially younger athletes, think that any speed training program is guaranteed to show fast results, this is incorrect. While some programs do show results for some athletes, most do not show results to every athlete. This is because not every athlete is the same, however most programs have the same workouts for for every athlete. This is why so many athletes have problems getting results with most speed training programs. They end up switching programs or working twice as hard to get minimal results.
