Delrin Rods and Delrin sheets have many qualities that make them similar in many comparisons with industrial metals such as brass, aluminum, zinc and stainless steel. Delrin is a homopolymer acetal whose qualities are very much similar to acetal copolymer.
Delrin rod is another form of Delrin. Fabricated primarily to produce specific components like gears, bearings and bushes, Delrin rod is used in moisture applications. Because of its moisture resistant qualities, the Delrin rod is ideal in marine industry applications. A Delrin rod has also a low friction co-efficient and abrasion resistant quality that is ideal in many wear applications. It improves the components life because of its durability and toughness. Delrin rods have good dimensional stability. Low moisture absorption, delrin can be applied in wet environments with little and no effect to the performance or dimensions of the part. The Delrin component is ideal on industrial applications, can be identified with the qualities of metals.
